JEFFREY THOMAS HERNDON, SR. , of Chatsworth, NJ, passed away on Monday, January 28th, 2019. He was 61 yrs.

of age. Born in Cherry Point, NC, he is the son of the late Gene and Emily Herndon. Moving from North Carolina to Cherry Hill, NJ, Jeff later moved to Chatsworth, NJ.

Working as a Mason restoring old buildings for M.P.G., Jeff took great pride in his job. He proudly received the Philadelphia Preservation Alliance Award for the completion of his work at the Union League on Broad Street. Jeff had a lot of passions in his life: an avid gardener, fantastic cook and skilled woodworker were some of his many hobbies.

Most of all, he was the most gentle, loving father, husband and best friend. Jeff is the Beloved Husband of Deborah M. Herndon (Nee Meyer), and the Loving Father of Jeffrey Herndon Jr. (Christine), Kaitlin Milroy (Mark), Kasey Herndon (Paula), Hillary Herndon (Andrew), Christopher Hager, Jacqueline Hager and Taylor Hager. Known as “Maleus” to his grandchildren- Aiden, Willow, Molly, Eloise, Jeffrey, Ryan, Landon and Shawn will greatly miss their grandfather.

Jeff is the Loving Brother of Brian, Mark, Keith, Toni and the late Barbara. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews, as well as his best friends Vern and Jenn. A Celebration of Life will be held at the family’s home in Chatsworth on Saturday, February 2 at 1PM.
