Jennie (Goings) White passed away suddenly May 25, 2019, in Hampton, TN. She had come to visit her daughter and grandchildren. Tennessee always held a special place in her heart, so it only seems fitting that she went home while in Tennessee.

She was born March 23, 1944 in Gary, Indiana. She made her home in Palm City, FL for the past 27 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry Goings, and Sara Lucille (Owens) Goings; Brother Don and Bud Goings, sister Linda Gamblin, and her beloved son Patrick Malone.

She is survived by her children Michael, Donna Malone-Hudson (Chris), of Cape Coral, FL, Patti Merdian (Stewart), of Moultrie, GA, Heidi White of Hampton, TN, Gilbert White II, and Anna White, of Palm City, FL. Grandchildren, who are the light of her life, are James, Austin, Stewart III, Donovan, Anthony Olivia, Nick, and Allison, and many nieces and nephews. Cousins Sharon and Nancy, who are her “sisters”.

Tom Malone and Gilbert White, without whom, none of her family would be here. So many friends listing all of you we would run out of paper and her fur and feather babies. She was never judgmental, always had sage advice exactly when it was needed.

She cared for others first before ever considering caring for herself, and always saw the good in everyone. She will be greatly missed. We love you Mom.

A gathering of remembrance will be held at Tetrick Funeral Home at 3001 Peoples Street, Johnson City, TN, from 5-7pm on May 31, 2019. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 7pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the family, or to your favorite charity.
