Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at West Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Brad Coates of Carlsbad First Assembly officiating. Interment will follow at Carlsbad Cemetery (new section).

Visitation will be 1-8 p.m. on Friday at West Funeral Home. Jennifer Lynn Sosa was born on June 2, 1972 in Carlsbad, NM. She was raised in Carlsbad and graduated from CHS and Eddy County Beauty College in 1991.

Ryan and Jennifer (Asbury) Sosa were married April 2, 2004 in Tucson, AZ but made their home in Carlsbad. She was employed as a cosmetologist at several salons including Daniel’s and served as manager at Smart Styles prior to her early retirement. Jennifer loved meeting new people and sharing her faith with everyone who would listen.

She attended Carlsbad Family Fellowship. She is preceded in death by granddaughter Annaleigh Olivas. Jennifer is survived by her husband, her parents Alejandro O. and Katheryn Florez; children: Jordon Dorado, Jonathan Sosa and Jasmine Sosa; granddaughter Lilliana Olivas and two more baby girls on the way, Rylynn Sosa and Baby Rivera; brother Jeremiah Asbury and sisters Rheanna and Nicole Asbury.

Pallbearers are Jonathan Sosa, Adrian Sosa, Kevin Acosta, Sergio Olivas, Jonathan Sandoval, Leroy Cobos and Geovan Armendariz. Condolences may be expressed by going to the AREA BELOW labeled SIGN GUEST BOOK and entering your message.
