Obituary for Jenny Kenny (Consiglio) Jenny Kenny, age 93, of Rome, passed away at home on November 15, 2018. Jenny (Giovanna) was born in Rome on June 24, 1925 to the late Giuseppe and Carmella DeLeone Consiglio and was educated in Rome Schools. On June 22, 1946, she was united in marriage to Richard Kenny at the Church of St. John the Baptist; a blessed union of nearly 46 years until his passing on March 17, 1992.

Jenny worked as a housekeeper at the Rome Hospital for many years. Jenny always put her family first: parents, siblings, children and grandchildren. Her granddaughter, Megan, and her great grandchildren, Gracie and Brady were the light of her life.

People will remember Jenny for her jovial personality and contagious smile. Jenny is survived by her son and daughter in law, James and Mary Anne Kenny of Rome: a granddaughter, Megan (Mark) Probst; great grandchildren Gracie and Brady; two sisters Florence Weber, Dolores (Bill) Williams; a brother, Joseph (Virginia) Consiglio; a sister in law, Marge Consiglio and many nieces and nephews. Also, Anthony (Santina) Consiglio and Sandra (Augie) Cianfrano were special nieces and nephews.

Their children, Anthony III, Maryellen and Anthony affectionately referred to her as Grandma. She was predeceased by her sisters Rose (Henry) Szczesniak, Felicia (Angelo) Pirillo and Lucy (Joseph) Kazmarski; and brothers Michael (Esther), Angelo, Anthony and Daniel Consiglio. Jenny’s family would like to thank her special friends, Jean Catanzaro, Marie Mastracco, Mickey Summa, Jenny Boczulak and Sister dePaul Juliano for their kindness and friendship.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at St Peter’s Church with Rev. Philip A. Hearn officiating. Burial will be at St. John’s Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may call at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 Chestnut Street, on Monday from 4 to 7PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Michelle Adey Memorial Fund. Please offer online condolences at www.
