Obituary for Josephine Z. Fedun (Zmudosky) Josephine Z. Fedun, age 92, of Rome, passed away peacefully, on December 11, 2018, with her loving family at her side. She was born October 11, 1926, in Lee Center, the youngest daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Wistowska Zmudowski. Josephine was united in marriage to William C. Fedun on September 25, 1948, in Rome.

She was formerly employed with Williams and Graves Insurance and retired from Rowland, Bellinger and Comstock. Josephine loved working in her flower and vegetable gardens and could name any plant or flower. She was also an avid walker, as she never learned to drive, and would walk to the office or “downtown” from the family home on Embargo Street.

Josephine is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, William; daughters and sons in law, Karen Reed of Poland, Joann and Gary Grasso of Surfside Beach, SC, Gloria and Gary McReynolds of Rome, Victoria and Timothy Money of Canandaigua, Laurie and Joseph Brognano of Vernon Center, and Linda Shields and Christopher Froio of Rome; grandchildren, Timothy and Jennifer Reed, Jennifer Reed, Kristin and Brandon Heck, Trevor and Chrissy Money, Kelsey and Robert Mauro, Douglas and Lauren DeCarlo, Amanda DeCarlo, Kayla and Chris Cataldo, Samuel Shields and Nicole McReynolds; great grandchildren, Charlie, Finley, Elin and Mya; and several nieces and nephews from the Zmudosky Family. She was predeceased by her sisters, Helen and Steph; and brothers, Anthony, Edward and William and their spouses. The family would like to express a special thank you to Carol Morrill and Connie Conover for all the care and compassion you have given to both Mom and Dad, all the wonderful ladies from Independence Care, and the Staff of 3 East at Rome Memorial Residential Health Care Facility.

The funeral service will be held Sunday at 3:00 PM at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street. Private Burial will be in Rome Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home, Sunday 1 to 3 PM, prior to the funeral service.
