Obituary for Stephanie A. Pristera (Kellogg) After a courageous 2 year battle with cancer, Stephanie A. Pristera, age 70, of Rome, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2019 at her home. Stephanie was born in Huntington, Long Island on November 29, 1948 to the late Lillian Jameson and Donald Kellogg. She graduated from Vernon Verona Sherrill High School and attended Utica Beauty School.

Stephanie was a self-employed hairdresser and worked at Hair with Flair. Stephanie loved doing her customers’ hair and they were precious to her. She also loved being with her grandchildren, who were the light of her life.

She was blessed with so many wonderful people in her life, especially her mother in law, Theresa Pristera, and her best friend, Stephanie Smith. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church. Stephanie is survived by her daughter, Beth Ann Pristera of Rome; a son, Carmen Pristera of FL; and grandchildren, Desmond, Julkara, Collin, Tristan, and Chance.

In keeping with Stephanie’s wishes, her body is being donated to the anatomical gift program at SUNY Upstate Medical Center. The family would like to express a special thank you to Hospice for their care and compassion shown to Stephanie during her illness. A Memorial service will be held on Monday at 4 PM at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street.
