Gloria Thelma Love January 26, 1927 – March 17, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Gloria Thelma (Seifert)Love, 92, of Taberg died Sunday March 17, 2019 at Presbyterian Home, New Hartford, NY. She was born January 26, 1927 in Verona, NY the daughter of Leroy and Pearl Ward Seifert. She graduated from RFA in 1945 and attended Beaux Arts Beauty School, Syracuse where she met the love of her life, who also was attending, Marvin Love.

Marvin and Gloria were married July 19, 1947 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Rome. Together they operated Juanita House of Beauty and Love’s Barber Shop for many years before Marvin’s passing on February 18, 2014. Marvin and Gloria were happily married for 66 ½ years.

Over the years Gloria was involved in the Annsville PTO, Taberg Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, Taberg Little League and a member for over 60 years of the Order of Eastern Star – Holly Chapter# 178. Gloria is survived by daughter, Marlene Love Blackwell, Taberg ; a son, Marvin L. Love, Jr, Mesa, Arizona and daughter-in-law, Soi Love, Merritt Island, Florida, a brother, Ralph W. Seifert, Sr., Rome; two granddaughters, Shannon (Chris) Dyer and Kristi (Andy Nodler) Love; and two nieces and a nephew. Gloria was predeceased by a brother Ward Leroy Seifert and son Dennis Leroy Love.

Funeral services will be held 3 pm Saturday at Prince-Boyd & Hyatt Home for Funerals, Inc., 210 W. Court St., Rome. Spring interment will be in Verona Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Home for Funerals Saturday from 1 to 3 pm.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
