Obituary for Jerome C. Knight Jerome “Jerry” C. Knight, age 90, passed away on December 16, 2018. Preceded in death by his wife, Anita Knight; parents, Harry and Edith Knight; brother, Julius Knight; sisters, Evelyn Solomon and June Rieger; brother-in-law, Sidney Gelman. He is survived by his daughters, Joni (Randy) Rosen and Elana Knight; grandchildren, Sari (Brady) Glick and Mara (Jordan) Meyers; great grandson, Ayven; sister-in-law, Rhoda Gelman.

Jerry was the previous owner of the Drexel Theater and Swensen’s Ice Cream. He volunteered at The James Cancer Hospital, has been a member of Tifereth Israel for his entire life, and was the recipient of numerous awards including, Showman of the Year, Bexley Citizen of the Year and a Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneer. Funeral services will be held at 10:30am on Wednesday, December 19 at Epstein Memorial Chapel, 3232 E. Main St. Burial will follow at New Tifereth Israel Cemetery.

Shiva will be observed at the home of Joni and Randy Rosen on Wednesday and Thursday from 5-7pm and Sunday and Monday from 5-7pm. In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to Congregation Tifereth Israel www. tiferethisrael.org or Zusman Hospice www.
