Jerry Clifton French, 72, of Rockton passed away Saturday, May 26, 2018. Born April 13, 1946 in Corning, AR to Lenard French and Lorene (Carter) Small. Married Katherine L. Kuykendall August 11, 1979 in Rockford.

Employed as the Assistant Manager for Walmart, Rockton for 18 years. Jerry enjoyed raising fancy show pigeons, working on his car, and gardening with his wife. Survivors include wife, Kathy French; children, Vicki Thompson, Patti (Chris) Lawrence, Debbie Chamberlain, Fran (Bill) Close, Mike (Darla) French, Crystal French; 14 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brothers, Larry (Lora) French, Gary (Sue) French, Joe (Verna) French, Raymond (Lisa) French, Lenny (Sarah) French, Roger (Julia) French, Bobby (Karen) Small, Danny (Sherry) Small; and sisters, Verlene (Rubin) Chavez, Carlene Harris.

Predeceased by parents; step mom, Hazel French; step dad, John Small; and brothers, Mike French, Jeff French, and infant brother. Celebration of life will be held from 2:00pm to 5:00pm on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Midway Village, 6799 Guilford Road, Rockford, 61107. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the family.
