Jerry’s Obituary Jerry “J-Boy” Jackson, 59, of 308 Wilmington Ave died Friday at his residence. He was born on May 13, 1959 in Wayne County to Mattie Doreatha Macklin and the late Luby Jackson, II. His life’s devotion, service to God and mankind will be celebrated Thursday at 1:00 PM at the Alpha & Omega Christian Center.

His mortal remains will be laid to rest in the Golden Gate Cemetery, Pikeville. He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 24 years, Shonequon McKinnon Jackson; his children, Miesha Jackson, Rory Jackson, Justin Lewis, Yakima Battle, Jerrica Jackson, Jamora Jackson and Jamecka Riddick; his mother, Doreatha Macklin; his siblings, Faye Jackson Booker, Luby Jackson III, Leslie Roland Stewart, Duncan Jackson and Dr. Phillip Jackson; and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
