Fremont-Janet Marie Hall Batts, 55, passed away on Friday, March 15, 2019 at home. Born in Wilson County on October 29, 1963 she was the daughter of the late Loyed Cooper Hall and Linda Tucker Hall. Janet worked as cashier with Wayne Oil Company for several years.

She will be remembered for her heart of gold and love of animals. A service to celebrate Janet’s life will be held Sunday, March 24, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at The Word Church, 500 N. William Street, Goldsboro, NC 27530 with Pastor Linda Burroughs officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church and at other times at the home of her brother, Charles Gurley.

Janet is survived by her husband, Tim Batts; children, Elizabeth Joe Hall and Joseph Earl Hall; grandchildren, Alysia, Maggie, Jonny, and Stacie; sister, Malinda Ann Hall Tillman; brother, Charles Wayne Gurley and wife, Michelle; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Sebastian. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Polly Watson Volunteer Fire Department, 4825 N. NC 581, Fremont, NC 27830.
