David Ray Cruse, 69, passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston Salem. David was born in Wayne County on June 25, 1949 to Grace Gainey Cruse of Goldsboro and the late Milton Cruse. He had worked for over 30 years as a supervisor with Borden Manufacturing Company.

David was attending United In Christ Church. Those of us who knew David weep at our loss, laugh with our remembrances, and reflect deeply on how much he meant to us. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at Seymour Funeral Home followed by a service to celebrate David’s life at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home with Rev.

Thomas McLendon officiating. Interment will be Thursday, March 14, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in Wayne Memorial Park. In addition to his mother, David is survived by his daughters, Michelle Adams and husband Steve, Amy Cruse and Dava Cruse; brother, James Earl Cruse; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
