Janice Faye Newell Edwards, 75, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at Rex Healthcare Center in Raleigh. Janice was born in Wayne County on December 8, 1943 to the late Will and Virginia Evans Newell. She was a loving wife, a loving mother and a loving friend to everyone.

Janice will be missed by all who were blessed enough to know her. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 22, 2019 from 7:00 -8:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home followed by a service to celebrate Janice’s life at 8:00 p.m. in the chapel. Interment will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2019 in Wayne Memorial Park.

Janice is survived by her husband of 55 years, Randolph William Edwards; and her son, Jimmy Edwards and his friend Keith of Goldsboro. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Ray Newell and Alvin Newell. The family would like to thank Dr. Clark and his staff, 3HC and Meals on Wheels for the loving care they provided Janice over these past few months.
