Jerry Robert Garcia August 28, 1956 – May 11, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Jerry Garcia, 62, a 22-year veteran Ret. SFC of the United States Army and Ret. Police Officer of 15 years, for the Sugar Creek Police Department, passed away May 11, 2019 in his home with his children nearby.

Jerry Garcia lived of a life of duty and family. Jerry is preceded in death by his father, Manual Garcia; and his twin brother, Joseph Garcia. Jerry is survived by his fiancée, Sharri Duty; mother, Carmen Garcia; siblings, Mary Angela Patrick, Louis Garcia, Barbara Garcia Canaleo-Vodopest, Adrian Garcia, Charles Garcia, Mona Garcia Moor, and Victor Garcia, and their respective spouses; as well as children, Jennifer Garcia, Desiree Garcia-Gipson, Candice Garcia, Donald Garcia, Bobby Garcia, Tamisha Garcia-Schutte, and Manual Garcia and their respective spouses.

Jerry Garcia was also the grandfather of Austin, Rosa, Taylor, Seth, Lucas, Dustan, Sharri, and Alliyah, Robert, Carlos, Jace, Raven, Rayne, Memphis, LeiLei, Mika, Avery, and Draven; and great-grandchildren, Arabella, Justin, Bentley, Trenton, and Madilynn. Jerry was an upstanding citizen with a strong belief of God, family, and country. Jerry will be laid to rest May 18, 2019.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. with a Funeral Service at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 18, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd. , Kansas City, MO 64124.

Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery. Jerry Garcia will be remembered with love and admiration. Condolences may be offered at www.
