Mr. Jerry W. Lowrance, 70, of rural Assumption, IL passed form this life Saturday, July 14, 2018. He was born in Pana, IL the son of Orlando G. and Alice N. (McCloy) Lowrance. Jerry married Sandra Faye Burney August 19, 1967 at the Owaneco United Methodist Church.

She preceded him in death October 20, 2011. Jerry was a 1966 graduate of Assumption High School and a graduate of Wabash Valley College. He was a member and Past Master of Bromwell Masonic Lodge #451 of Assumption, where in 2013 he accepted the Grand Master’s Award of Excellence on behalf of Bromwell Lodge.

He was also a member of Scottish Rite, Ansar Shrine. Jerry was in the United States Army and retired from Christian County Farm Supply (FS). Surviving are his children: Terri Tango of Assumption, IL, and Bill (Cari) Lowrance of Stonington, IL; grandchildren: Arika Mason, Shelby Mason, Bo Mason, Adyson Lowrance, and Huck Lowrance; sisters: Jane (Rick) Oberbroeckling of Dubuque, IA, LeAnn (Tony) Kersey of Taylorville, IL; special friend Jan Baker, and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death are his parents; wife, Sandra (Burney) Lowrance, brother, “Duffy” Lowrance; brother Jon Lowrance; sister, Lisa Hartnell. Visitation for Mr. Lowrance will be held Friday July 20, 2018 from noon to 1:45 pm at the Owaneco United Methodist Church. Masonic service by Assumption Masonic Bromwell Lodge #451 will be held at 1:45 pm.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm with Rev. Tami Werschey-Kessinger and Rev. Chuck Banning officiating.

Burial with full military honors by Assumption VFW Post 6577 will follow the funeral service at Fraley Cemetery, Taylorville, IL. Masterson Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Kincaid is assisting Jerry’s family with his arrangements. Memorials in Jerry’s name can be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, St. Louis, Mo.
