Jesse Jerome Baucom, 71, of Monroe, passed away Friday, October 19, 2018 at Carolinas Healthcare Hospice in Monroe. Mr. Baucom was born September 9, 1947 in Union County to the late JD Baucom and the late Kathleen Simpson Baucom. Jesse was a loving husband, father, papa, coach, friend, and mentor who impacted daily lives with a warm heart and a loving smile.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m., Monday, October 22, 2018 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. The funeral service will be on Tuesday, 1:00 p.m., October 23, 2018 at Antioch Baptist Church, 6223 Love Mill Road, Monroe officiated by Rev. Joe Query.

Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery. Survivors include wife of 48 years, Margaret Baucom of Monroe; daughter, Angie Outen; son, Casey Baucom and wife Valerie; daughter, Wendy Baucom; grandchildren, Mackenzie Carvalho, Ivy Baucom, MaKayla Outen, Jax Baucom and Caroline Baucom; and brother, Mike Baucom. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Union County, 700 West Roosevelt Blvd.
