Jessie’s Obituary Jessie Floyd Brown, Jr., age 92, passed away on Jan. 10, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. He was a native of Drew, Mississippi and had resided the last 13 years in Houma Louisiana.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home in the Ocean Springs Mississippi Location on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 beginning at 10:30 a.m. until the religious service at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery. Jessie is survived by his son, Andrew; daughters, Doris, Glenda and Julie; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. Jessie is preceded in death by his 1st wife Inez “Jackie” Simmons; 2nd wife Maggie Morris; sons Jeffrey, Joel; daughter, Wanda and great-granddaughter, Marley.

He retired from the US Navy and the Pascagoula School district after many years teaching Junior NROTC. He was a recipient of two Bronze stars and numerous battle ribbons. He served in WWII, Korean War, Gulf of Tonkin, he was also aboard a destroyer that circled Cuba during the Missile Crisis.

He loved the Lord, his family and country. Anchors Aweigh, Dad. Chauvin Funeral Home is honored to serve the Brown family.
