Jessie Lee Boyd of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away on Monday, October 29, 2018 at the age of 99. Jessie Lee was born on May 4, 1919 in Parsons, Kansas to George and Maude Tait. She had three sisters, Ellen, Thelma, and Mozelle; and two brothers Edward and George.

She married William Elmer Boyd Jr of Parsons, Kansas on February 21,1941. After William returned from WWll, they lived in Kansas City, Missouri. Their son Gary was born March 1950.

Jessie Lee was a long time Overland Park resident. Moving to the 75th and Metcalf area in the late 1950s. She enjoyed many activities and sports.

Including bowling at King Louie Bowling Alley with her husband and shopping at the Metcalf South shopping center. She was a loyal Kansas City Royals and Chiefs fan. She shared her love of golf and gardening with her son.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, William; her son Gary; her parents; her sisters and brother Edward. She is survived by her brother, George Tait; granddaughter Jennifer Strown and Great Grandson.
