Jessie Hedrick Shipley, age 95 of West End, NC and formerly of Maryland died Sunday, July 1, 2018 at Manor Care of Pinehurst. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Internment will be at Mt.

View Cemetery in Sykesville, MD. A native of Baltimore County, MD she was a daughter of the late George Washington and Claudia Hoover Hedrick. Jessie was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, cooking, and entertaining friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her husband Donald M. Shipley. She is survived by her daughters Joyce Shipley Harris and husband Bill of West End, NC; Carol Shipley and husband Richard of Bluffton, SC; grandchildren Gray Harris of Durham, NC; Heather Tipton of Jamestown, NC; Carrie Bull of Salem, OR; great grandchildren Jacob, Nicholas and Elizabeth. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society at Cancer.org.
