Obituary for Jewel D. Watson Jewel D. Watson died peacefully at age 92 on October 8, 2018. Beloved wife of the late Paul. Loving mother of Jennifer (Steve) Lumpkin, Stephen (Linda) and Karen (Charlie) Barger.

Proud grandmother of Nathaniel, Robert, Joy, Patrick, Elizabeth and Lindsay. Great grandmother of William, Cassia, Natalie, Serena, Chloe, Kevin, Leila, Johan and Julian. Dear sister of the late Bert, Esther and Robin.

Jewel received a B.S. in Education from Western Michigan College. She taught English near Kalamazoo until she married Paul on July 3, 1949 in Lansing. An active 48-year member of First Presbyterian Church in Royal Oak where she served as a Deacon and Elder, and was active in Presbys, Circle and Bridge Club.

Jewel worked for 22 years at Standard Federal Bank at the Northwood Branch. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 20, from 10:00 am until time of memorial service 11:00 am at First Presbyterian Church, 529 Hendrie Blvd. , Royal Oak, MI 48067.
