Obituary for Jessie J. Maxfield Jessie Maxfield (nee Reid), passed away on October 1, 2018. Jessie was born to Thomas and Elizabeth Reid on January 10, 1927 in Hamilton, Scotland. Jessie was a Lance Corporal in the British Army during World War II.

In 1951, Jessie married the love of her life, Vincent Maxfield. The two traveled extensively during their lives. In 1954, they emigrated to Canada.

A few years later, they returned to England for about a decade. In 1968, the two made their way to the United States, where they enjoyed the rest of their lives together. Jessie enjoyed many things, including playing darts, playing trivia, and getting together with her Red Hat groups.

She also enjoyed reading, watching Westerns and Coronation Street. Jessie is the cherished wife of 57 years of the late Vincent; the loving mother of Lee (Gerald) Williams; the beloved grandmother of Kate (Kurt) Daly; and the dear sister of the late Maisie (the late Frank) Grieves, Tom (the late Joan) Reid, the late Henry Reid, Betty (the late Terry) Lilley, Cathy (Brian) Lee, the late Ian (the late Joan) Reid, Richard (Lil) Reid, and the late Hamish Reid. Jessie’s family will receive friends on Monday, October 8, 2018 at the Wm.
