OBITUARY JH “Paw-Paw” Vaughn December 29, 1946 – July 15, 2018 J.H. (Paw Paw) Vaughn 71 of Attalla passed away July 15, 2018. Funeral service will be held at Morgan Funeral Chapel Wednesday July 18, 2018 at 3pm. Burial will be at Noble Hill Cemetery in Sand Valley.

Funeral will be officiated by Bro Gregg Jacobs and Bro Mark Howington. JH was a loving and devoted husband, father and paw paw. He loved his Lord and Savior and was a Deacon and active member of Maryville FCM Church.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and helping out with the Etowah High School Band. He was Paw Paw to everyone and loved going with his grandchildren to all of their activities. He enjoyed coaching baseball and softball for his children, grandchildren and many others.

He loved his church and church family. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Sonja Guest Vaughn, Son Rodney (Kristi) Vaughn, Grandchildren Jacob (Mackenzie) Vaughn, Beth McCoy, Jordan Vaughn and Brittany McCoy.

He is also survived by sister Sandra Vaughn Meyers and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his daughter Tonya Denise Vaughn, father Ervin Vaughn, mother Luzzine Works Vaughn, sister’s Betty Mintz, Flora Mae Dean & Nancy Roden. Pallbearers Jacob Vaughn, Rodney Vaughn, Don Guest, Cameron Horsley, Randall Gober, Tim Chambers, Jerry Naylor, Lamar Rosson, Jay Pendergraft & Jerry Tuck.

Honorary Pallbearers Frank Click, Thomas Chapman, Steve Cole, Doug Jordan, Marion Jaggears and Employees of Alabama DOT. Special Thanks to Nurse Holly Smith and AlaCare Home Health & Hospice, Physicians Choice (Fresenius) Dialysis, Maryville FCM Church, Sand Valley Fire Department and everyone who has helped out during this time sitting with the family, cutting our grass, bringing food and prayers. Nothing went unnoticed.
