OBITUARY Judy A. Bowlin June 25, 1961 – September 19, 2018 Mrs. Judy P. Bowlin, age 57 of Gallant departed this life, while surrounded by her loved ones on September 19, 2018, after valiantly fighting stage four breast cancer for sixteen years. A funeral service to honor her will be held at 1 P.M. on Saturday, September 22, 2018, at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Attalla. The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday at the funeral home from 11A.M. until time of service.

Rev. David Umphrey will officiate. Graveside service and interment will follow at Reeves Grove Cemetery.

Mrs. Bowlin graduated from Ashville High School and was a member of Reeves Grove Baptist Church. A longtime resident of St. Clair County, Judy worked at Ashville Drug Company, from which she retired after working twenty-five years as a pharmacy technician. Judy was an extremely devoted grandmother, never missing an event in which her granddaughters were involved.

She cherished her family and counted herself as blessed to witness so many of their milestones- from marriages, to births, to seeing her grandchildren and nieces and nephews grow, Judy never took her family and friends for granted. The many that knew and loved Judy will remember her for many things- for her beautiful quilting and sewing, her delight in trips to the beaches of Gulf Shores and the mountains of Gatlinburg, but most of all they will remember that even in the midst of sickness, Judy was steadfast and brave, showing care and love to those that surrounded her. Mrs. Bowlin was preceded in death by her grandparents, Dover and Roberta Phillips & Vester and Dora Gilliland.

Judy leaves behind her loving husband of thirty-nine years, Barry Bowlin; Devoted son, Matthew Bowlin (Wife, Summer); Two precious granddaughters, Addison Bowlin & Ansley Bowlin; Father, William Bartley Phillips; Mother, Rubye Gilliand Phillips; Brothers, Wesley Phillips, Ben Phillips (Wife, Julie), and Joey Phillips; Sisters, Cathy Clifton, Renee Came (Husband, George), and Grace Romine (Husband, Mike). Along with a host of nieces, nephews and extended family. Heartfelt thanks are extended to the nurses, doctors and staff of Amedisys Hospice (Rainbow City), as well as to Tyler Pence and Holly Olive.

Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers. Morgan Funeral Chapel & Crematory directing.
