Jim’s Obituary James W. “Jim” Bitsche, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2019 in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 71. He was born May 13, 1948 in Chickasha to John and Irene (Hommerstzheim) Bitsche. Jim graduated from St. Joseph of Chickasha in 1966 and received his Bachelors of Art from Oklahoma State.

He served in R.O.T.C. during college. Jim owned and operated Bitsche’s Nursery in Chickasha and was a noted master gardener in horticulture.

He retired in 2004 and helped deliver meals for Chickasha Mobile Meals. Jim is a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church and a member of the Oddfellows 618 of Chickasha. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Jim is survived by his sisters: Kay Duff and Cindy Hervey and her husband, Charlie; And his brothers: Ed Bitsche and his wife, Elaine; and Melvin Bitsche and his wife, Beth; and several nieces and nephews.
