Jim L. McPhillen of Irving, Texas May 1, 1943 – January 12, 2019 Jimmy Lee “Jim” McPhillen, age 75, a resident of Irving since September 2000, died Saturday, January 12, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family. Born May 1, 1943 in Wooster, Ohio, he was the son of the late Oscar and Ruby Swoveland McPhillen. He was a retired auto mechanic for Wheelwright Conoco.

He and his wife moved to Irving from Iowa. Preceded in death by his parents, a sister Alice Faye, a brother, Charles, his daughter Laura Lee McPhillen, and some aunts and uncles, he is survived by his wife Valoree McPhillen of Irving; three daughters, Carole Hutson and husband Jim of Branson, Missouri, Michele Parker of Springfield, Missouri, and Candace Loehr of Rock Away Beach, Missouri; and two grandsons, Curtis Price and Corey Thomas. A private family memorial was held.

Memorials may be made to the National Stroke Association or the American Stroke Foundation.
