Jimmie “Jim” Dale Green of Davisville, Missouri passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Cuba Manor at the age of 77 years, 7 months and 29 days. He was born May 18, 1941 in Davisville, Missouri to John Edward Green and Mabel Fannie Brown Green. Jim served our country honorably in the US Army.

He was employed at a Tom Boy grocery warehouse for eighteen years and later became self-employed in construction working with his brother, Joe Green. Jim took great care in running his farm keeping it immaculate. He loved taking care of his chickens and all of his farm animals.

Jim always enjoyed stopping by to visit his family. He was a faithful member of the Center Ridge Pentecostal Church. The church could always count on Jim being the first one to arrive each time there was a church service and will be truly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Charles Green, John (Shirley) Green and Kenny (Doris) Green; one sister, Linda Louise Green; sister-in-law, Mary Green; brothers-in-law, Glen Martin, Paul Smith and Leroy Tidwell. He is survived by brothers, Curt Green of St. Charles, MO, Harold (Linda) Green of Cherryville, MO and Joe (Glenda) Green of Davisville, MO; sisters, Marie Martin, Oma Lea Smith and Barbara (Fred) Mertz all of Steelville, MO; many nieces, nephews; and friends. The Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 18, 2019 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO with Pastor Harrison Brown officiating and Mike Abbott reading the obituary. Committal service and interment with Full Military Honors by the US Army will be held at the Martin-Trask Cemetery, Cherryville, MO. Honored to be casket bearers will be Kevin Green, Brian Green, Bradley Green, Stanley Green, Steve Smith and Mike Smith.

The Family was served by the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home of Steelville, MO.
