Obituary Joan Johnson (nee Laramie), age 88, of Oconomowoc, passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2019. She was born Sept. 30, 1930, in Wisconsin Rapids and spent most of her life in Oconomowoc.

Joan is survived by her loving children Pat Johnson, Sue (Hugh) Gnatzig, Danielle (Coco) Laramie and Michele Judkins; her grandchildren Dan (Liz) Gnatzig, Gina (Corey) Meredith, Preston Judkins and Raechal (Scott) Laird; along with her great-grandchildren Easton, Graesynn, Paetynn, Bo and Ty; and her brother James (Sue) Laramie. Joan is further survived by her nephews Mark Johnson and Steve Laramie and nieces Terry Olsen, Kristy Beltz, Tammi, Peggy and Gail. Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Johnson; son Daniel Johnson; parents Charles and Gladys Laramie; brothers-in-law Bob and Frank Johnson; and sisters-in-law Darlene and Putzie Johnson.

Joan loved her family, swimming, boating, sitting by the ocean, and animals of all kinds. Joan worked as the aquatic director at the first YMCA on Silver Lake in Oconomowoc for over 20 years. She taught water safety and swimming lessons to all ages in the Lake Country area.
