Joan Cooper, 77, of Michigan City, passed away peacefully at 7:41 a.m., Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at Porter Regional Hospital, Valparaiso. She was born July 30, 1941, in Cumberland, KY, to Frank and Elsie (Kitts) Brown. Joan worked as a caregiver.

She was a member of the United Baptist Church, Michigan City. Joan enjoyed yard sales, collecting dolls and playing cards. Above all else, she loved spending time with her family.
