Joan Muncy, 77, of Sellersburg, IN, passed away on Friday, June 29, 2018 at Kindred Transitional Care in Sellersburg, IN. She was born on August 3, 1940 to Edward and Pauline (Houchens) Upton in Lucas, KY. She was a homemaker.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter Muncy; son, Eddie Muncy and brother, Gene Upton. Survivors include her sons, Mike Muncy (Paula) of Jeffersonville, IN, and Rusty Muncy (Vicky) of Charlestown, IN; daughter, Debbie Gardner (John) of Jeffersonville, IN; brothers, Billy Wayne Upton of Sellersburg, IN, Don Upton of Sellersburg, IN, Rex Upton of Jeffersonville, IN, and Jimmy Upton of Charlestown, IN; sisters, Judy Upton of Charlestown, IN, and Jane Parrott of Acworth, GA; grandchildren, Patsy, Maggie, Natalie, Whitney, Eddie, Johnathan and Mac; 8 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 2, 2018 at 11am at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown, IN with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville, IN.

Visitation will be held on Sunday from 12pm to 6pm and after 9am Monday. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Amedisys Hospice at 305 Quartermaster Ct.
