The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Samart Funeral Home of Houma, Bayou Blue, at 1:00 pm.

Burial will take place in the Rogers Cemetery. She is survived by her husband – Jim Matherne Sr.; sons -Jim Matherne, Jr. and wife Sandi, Lonnie Matherne and significant other Meachayla Brown; Corey Matherne and wife Margaret; grandchildren – Madison, Cooper, Noah, Melayna, Cheyenne Matherne; brother – Desmond J. Guilbeau, Jr.; sisters – Carol Ann Guilbeau, Elizabeth Guilbeau Burdwell; brother-in-laws -Joe Balestra, Rodney P. Barrileaux, Sr. Numerous nieces, nephews great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents -Desmond J. Gilbeau, Sr.and Mary Grace Aucoin Matherne; sister – Sharon M. Guilbeau Baleestra.
