Obituary for Joanne T. Kolostow Joanne T. Kolostow (nee Wallace) – 78, of Cape May and formerly of Boston, MA and Pottstown, PA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 in the comfort of her home. Born in Boston, MA, Joanne graduated from Hyde Park High. Her love of family is her true legacy.

Joanne was a very proud mother, grandmother and great grandmother. A woman of great strength and resiliency; her greatest joy was seeing others around her happy and content. Her sense of humor and quick wit always made her fun to simply be around as she was always the life of any gathering or party.

Joanne enjoyed many things in her life, more specifically, playing cards (Hearts and Cribbage) and being in the kitchen cooking for her family. Although Joanne first loved watching the Boston Red Sox and going to games at Fenway Park, she eventually became a diehard Philadelphia Phillies fan, never missing a game as she thoroughly enjoyed watching her beloved Phillies. She was a member of the American Legion and while in Pennsylvania she was a member of the Gilbertsville Fire Company.

She is predeceased by her son, Wayne Bagrud and her sister, Marion Hardgrove. Joanne is dearly missed by her loving family which includes her four children, David Bagrud, Kenneth Olson, Ann (and Javid) Hanmore and Heather MacMillan; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and 1 great grandchild on the way! Joanne’s memorial ceremony will be held on Saturday (June 2nd) at 11am in the Spilker Funeral Home, 815 Washington St., Cape May where family and friends will gather and be received from 10:30am until the beginning of the ceremony at 11am.

Interment is private and at a later date. In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, memorial contributions are suggested to: Animal Outreach, 600 Park Blvd. #3, West Cape May, NJ 08204.
