Jody Dale McDonald, 46 of Drain, Oregon passed away September 4, 2018. He was born September 21, 1971, in Eugene, OR to Art and Kathleen (Frieze) McDonald. Jody graduated from North Douglas High School in 1990.

He worked in the timber industry all his life, the majority was in the laminated beam industry as a RE press operator. Jody was a big outdoorsman, enjoyed hunting and fishing, loved animals, cooking, and was a big sports fan of basketball, baseball, football and was an avid Ducks fan. He enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephew.

Jody is survived by his parents Art and Kathleen McDonald, Drain, OR, sister Shana (Nick) Johnson, Wasilla, AK, brother Jeremy (Dayna Erner) McDonald, Cottage Grove, OR, nieces Hailee Johnson, Emma McDonald and nephew Hunter Johnson. A memorial service will be held 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel, 123 S. 7th St., Cottage Grove, OR 97424. Arrangements by Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel.
