Obituary for Joe Ambrose Garden City…Joe Ambrose Joe Ambrose age 96, died Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at National Health Care. Born in Moonachie, NJ, he was a son of the late Joseph and Mary Ambrose. A native of New Jersey, Mr. Ambrose was a WWII Coast Guard veteran in the Pacific.

He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and also a member of the Elks Lodge in Murrells Inlet and the American Legion. He was preceded in death by a son, Larry Ambrose and 2 sisters, Delores Bruning and Ann Blauth. Survivors include his wife of 71 years, Mildred Ambrose; a son, Glenn Ambrose of Milton, GA; a daughter, Nancy Marakovitz and her husband Ron; grandchildren, Kelly Ambrose of Atlanta, GA, Emily Tippett of Rome, GA; Michael Marakovitz of Belmar, NJ and Denise Trimble of Metuchen, NJ.

The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 pm Saturday, 13, 2018 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 1105 48th Ave. N., Suite 101 Myrtle Beach, SC 29577.
