Joe D. Taylor age 88 of Lebanon passed away Tuesday afternoon May 28, 2019 at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro. He was born August 30, 1930 to his parents, the late John Hershel and Effie Lorene Taylor. He was a retired construction worker and a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by 2 grandchildren: Joseph Logan Higgins, Kaleb Douglas Woodcock; sister: Irene Malone; Brother: Carlon Taylor. Funeral services will be held 2:PM Saturday June 1, 2019 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Donald Owens officiating and burial to follow in DeKalb Memorial Gardens.

Visitation with the Taylor family will be Friday 4:PM until 8:PM and Saturday 11:AM until the time of the service at 2:PM. Survivors include his wife Faye Cubbins Taylor of Lebanon; Children: Gene (Glena) Taylor of Broken Arrow, OK, Pam (David) Higgins of Burns, TN, Jennifer Woodcock of Lebanon; 4 Grandchildren: Blaine (Missy) Higgins, Loren (Robert) Donegan, Paige (Barry) Baker, Evan Taylor; 5 Great Grandchildren: Hunter & Noah Donegan, Palmer & Pierson Higgins, Colton Baker; Sister-in-law: Linda Sue (Randy) Tramel of Smithville. In addition to flowers, donations can be made to Alive Hospice, in memory of Mr. Joe.

Dekalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
