Joel Ivan Schoenberger passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at the age of 49. Beloved son of Maurice Schoenberger, Jr. and Marlene Acosta Schoenberger. Brother of Michelle Schoenberger (Daniel “Danny”) and Scott Schoenberger.

Uncle of Mallory Smith and Tony “T. J” Smith, Jr. Great Uncle of Blake LeCompte. Joel was born in New Orleans, LA and was a resident of Buras, LA; he served his country while actively enlisted in the United States Navy.

He was an abled body Seaman. While stationed in Norfolk, VA, he became a member of the First United Pentecostal Church where he attended until returning to Buras in 2005. Once he was back in Louisiana, he joined the Pentecostals of Marrero where he was faithful to study the bible and spend time in daily prayer.

Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Thursday, January 31, 2019 from 6PM until 10PM. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday evening at 7:30PM. Interment will be private.
