Kenneth Perdue, Jr., went to be with the Lord peacefully at his home in Gretna on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at the age of 63. He is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Perdue, Sr. and Jacqueline Ferrari Perdue; his brother, Keith Perdue; and his mother in-law and father-in law, Mabel M. Meyer and Frank E. Meyer, Jr He is the beloved husband of 43 years of Erin Meyer Perdue.

He is the loving father of Kenneth Nicholas Perdue (Melissa Mayeaux), and Anthony Joseph Perdue (Jessica). He is the devoted grandfather of Jackson Perdue, Matthew Perdue, Luke Perdue, and Kerry Sima, Jr He is the cherished brother of Kevin Wayne Perdue (Maria).

He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family and many friends. He was a retired fireman with the City of New Orleans after 10 years of loyal service. He was also owner of KP Building Service and was the City of Gretna’s Building Inspector.

He was also a volunteer and acting parish president at Holy Spirit Church in Algiers. Kenny spent many years fishing, hunting, and creating memories on the water with his boys. He also enjoyed playing golf with his friends.

A wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend, he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Visitation on Monday, Feb. 4, 2019 beginning at 10:00 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 1:30 PM from the Chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA.
