Rev. Bruce’s Obituary TRIM Rev. Bruce Michael Trim was born September 9, 1954 to the parent of Pastor Emeritus Rev.
Mary Ann (Bland)Trim Banks at Charity Hospital in New Orleans, La. He transitioned to his heavenly home on Saturday January 19, 2019 at West Jefferson Medical Center at the age of 64. A Native of New Roads La.
He accepted Christ at early age at St. Peter B.C. baptized by the late Rev. E. B. D. Reed in False River. At a early age of three or four he was diagnosed with Sickle Cell disease.
Then upon moving to New Orleans, La. for treatment for his illness he join New Olive BC under the late Rev. Sam Hampton where he developed a talent in playing the drums and singing in the choir.
Then he joined Triumph Universal C.O.G.C. under the late Bishop Tyson. He attended schools in Orleans Parish and finished from Walter L. Cohen Sr. High.
He also attended and finished form a trade school and the police academy. In loving the Lord and serving him he received the call to preach. In doing the best he could he went around singing and spending the Gospel of Jesus.
He was ordained under the late Bishop James Feltus, Jr He became member of Watson Memorial Teaching Ministry were he grew up with Bishop Tommy Watson & his family on First & Dryades St. His dad would take him and his siblings to church with them. After Hurricane Katrina and returning to New Orleans he served in the ministry upon death.
He leaves to cherish his memories his mother Pastor Emeritus Rev. Mary Ann (Bland) Banks; 2 brothers Joseph Trim, Sr.(Linda), Harold L. Trim, Sr.(Diane), 2 sisters Diane M. Trim of Houston, Tx. and Del Rio T. Banks; 3 cousins/ sisters Cynthia Bland of Baton Rouge, Linda F.(Bland) Mack (Reginald) of Renton, Wash.
, and Gwendolyn Bland of Temple. Tx. Loved by Aunts Dorothy M.(Bland) Carradine of Tallulah, La.
, Adena (Bland) Brown of Chicago, Il. , Vera Bland of San Francisco, Ca. ; Uncles Lt.
Col. Ret. Carrol J. Cayette, Sr. of Baton Rouge, La.
, Lewis Bland (Carol) of Jacksonville, Fl. , 5 nephews, 5 nieces, and a host of great-nephews, great-nieces, and cousins and friends . Also dearest good friends Mr. Louis Banks, Ms. Linda P. Richardson.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Wyseener Bland and Virginia (Davis) Bland Felix; great aunts and uncles; 4 aunts, 3 uncles; and a close cousin/ brother Emanuel Bland, Jr. The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers at this difficult time and ask that you continue to pray for us in the days ahead.
