OBITUARY Joseph “Joe” Nicholas Mole February 4, 1948 – January 22, 2019 Joseph “Joe” Nicholas Mole, 70, passed away in New Orleans, Louisiana on January 22, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter Mole and Evelyn Nicholas Mole. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sharon Southard Mole; son, Nicholas Southard Mole; brother, Robert Alexander Mole; brother in-law, Ray Anthony Southard (Cindy); nieces, Kristi Ord (Jonathan) and Yvonne Walsh (David); great-nieces and great-nephews, Landon, Lillian, Taylor, and John.

Joe was born and raised in New Orleans and attended Cor Jesu High School, now known as Brother Martin. After high school, he received his undergraduate degree from LSUNO, now known as UNO, and both his master’s degree in English Literature and his Law degree are from Tulane University. He also was a member of the Lake Terrace Property Owners Association.

Before attending law school, Joe worked at Brennan’s Restaurant on Royal Street as a cook and a food buyer. He was an avid bicyclist and loved to cook, with the result that everyone loved to eat his food. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral mass on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel, of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd.

, New Orleans. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. and a graveside service will follow the mass at All Saints Mausoleum.
