OBITUARY Joseph Charles Diecidue January 2, 1926 – January 22, 2019 Joseph Charles Diecidue passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2019. Age 93 years. Beloved son of the late Salvador A. and Nunzia Flamiglio Diecidue.

Loving husband for 63 years of the late Miriam Becker Diecidue. Devoted father of Michael Diecidue (Terry), Marian D. Blanchard (Ed), and Gary Diecidue (Julie). Grandfather of James, Amy, Kevin, Michel, Joseph, Carly, Nancy Clare, Kathryn, Ian, Anna, Ashlyn, and Caitlyn.

Great grandfather of Beau, Emma, Riley, and Rhodes. Brother of Salvador F. Diecidue, and the late Matilda Pareti, Marie Danove, and Theresa D. Smith. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Joseph was co-founder of DASH LUMBER & SUPPLY where he was active for over seventy years. He was a parishioner for 63 years of St. Pius X, where he served as a Eucharistic Minister. He was a member St. Pius X Holy Name Society and Usher Society.

Joseph attended the U. S. Merchant Marine Academy, and retired from the U. S. Navy Reserve. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Sunday, January 27, 2019 from 5:00PM until 8:00PM.

Visitation will continue on Monday, January 28, 2019 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 6666 Spanish Fort Blvd. in New Orleans, on Monday, January 28, 2019 at noon, with the Funeral Mass beginning at 1:00PM. Interment will follow at Lake Lawn Park.
