George W. Greathouse, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday, January 21, 2019 at the age of 79. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clinton and Mildred Greathouse; and his brother, Tony Greathouse. He is the beloved husband of 31 years of Linda B. Greathouse.

He is the loving father of Greg Greathouse (Christy), Tala Greathouse, Lady-Jessica Broussard, Bill Thompson (Gina). He is the devoted grandfather of Hannah Greathouse, Corbin Greathouse, Steven Rapalo, Devin Rapalo, Jade Thompson, Joey Thompson, and Jaci Thompson. He is the loving son-in-law of Leola Broussard.

He is also survived by other family and friends. George was a retired valve technician in the nuclear industry. He honorably served his country in the US Marine Corps.

In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and repairing clocks, engines, and a variety of devices. However, his # 1 passion was reserved for his family, his kids and most of all, his grandkids. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Services are being held at a later date. Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA. in charge of arrangements.
