Joyce O’Farrell Pierron passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at the age of 77, surrounded by her family. She is survived by her children Jerilyn P Richoux (Brian) and Michael Pierron (Kim); grandchildren Tiffany P Caillavet (Waite), Christie Richoux, Christopher Pierron (Morgan), and Brandon Richoux (Blaire); and great-grandchildren Collins Pierron and Tinley Caillavet. She was preceded in death by her parents, Evelyn Bertelson Carter and Dallas O’Farrell; and her brother, Robert O’Farrell.

Joyce worked tirelessly to care for family and friends, always putting the needs of others first. She was a dedicated bus driver for Plaquemines Parish Schools for nearly 25 years. She loved to cook and bake sweets, especially peanut butter fudge.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Singing River Hospital and Hospice of Light in Pascagoula, MS for the compassionate care that they gave to our mother for the last month. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at Mothe Funeral Homes, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Monday, January 28, 2019. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 AM.

Interment will be at Westlawn Memorial Park, 1225 Whitney Avenue, Gretna, LA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to the St Joseph Church Restoration Campaign, 610 Sixth Street, Gretna, LA 70053. Family and friends may view and sign the online guest book at www.
