John Adams Turner April 01, 1939 – February 05, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card John Adams Turner, 79, of Shelby Township, MI, passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at 2:41 a.m., at the Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Michigan. John was born on April 1, 1939 in Tiffin, to the late Sewell Taulbee and Mary (Riley) Turner. He married Karen Y. (Eichhorn) on September 24, 1966 in Croswell, MI and she survives in Michigan.

Survivors include his son, Robin (Teresa) Turner of Sterling Heights, MI, two grandchildren, Blair Yvonne Turner and Jean Marie Turner, two sisters, Nellie I. Alsip of Tiffin, M. Ruth (Dick) Steven of Marion, a sister-in-law, Penny Turner of Tiffin and numerous nieces and nephews. John worked as a retail manager and was a United States Navy veteran serving during peacetime. John was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, S.D. “Sonny” Turner, Robin T. Turner, two brother-in-laws, Blair Alsip and Pete Moore, a sister, Elizabeth “Susie” Moore and a sister-in-law, Joyce Turner.

Graveside services for John will be held at noon, on Saturday, February 23, 2019, at Greenlawn cemetery with military honor’s being rendered by the United Veterans Council. The Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin is assisting the family with their arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Assoc.
