Obituary for John Allen Talbot III John Allen Talbot III, aka JAT, Daddy, Unkie & Bumpa; passed away peacefully at 97 years of age on April 11th, 2018 in Leesburg, Va. He is well known for his storytelling, sense of humor and kind heart. John joyfully shared his decades of escapades in Washington DC, Fauquier and Loudoun County.

He was born in Georgetown on August 28, 1920 to Dr. John Allen Talbot II and Roberta Lackland Talbot. His family moved to Delta Farm, now Meadowbrook Farm on Lime Kiln Road outside of Middleburg,VA. He married Betsy Wiley and raised their daughter, Anne Talbot Fields.

From farming to real estate, John touched many lives and properties in Loudoun and beyond. He made his mark on local real estate as a partner in Thomas & Talbot and as a licensed agent well into his 80’s. He is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, his sister Emily Talbot Sharp, his grandson Richard Paul Mills, nephew Talbot Warren and his father in law, Col.

William G Walker Jr He is survived by his daughter and son in law, Anne and Greg Fields of Wilmington, DE, granddaughter and her husband, Sophie and Lance Derrickson and their son Rowan of Montauk, NY, his step daughter and son in law, Dabney and Bill Blaine of Mt. Dora, FL, his wife, Helena Scott-Talbot, his step-daughter and son in law, Samantha and Tan Tunador, his step son, Alexander Scott all of Leesburg, VA, plus multiple grand children, great grand children, nieces, nephew and many extended family members by blood and by choice.

Many of his favorite stories will be shared by family and friends at a private ceremony as we celebrate his life on Tuesday, May 1st.
