John Alton Goldinger Oct. 11, 1937 – Jan. 20, 2019 A Celebration of Life for John Alton Goldinger, 83, will be held Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at The Church at Stone River with Pastor Ted Amey officiating.

Visitation will be held from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. Burial will be at Letort Cemetery, Carlisle, PA with Ridout’s Brown Service Funeral Home directing. Mr. Goldinger was born on October 11, 1935, in Rosston, PA to Floyd Alton and Eva Ann (Bonner) Goldinger. He retired from PPG industries where he worked as their glass expert in many different cities and countries.

A 32nd degree mason, John will be most remembered for his generous heart, his ability to fix anything and for helping and hugging everyone he met. He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Carol Ann (Jack) Goldinger, his parents and a brother, Darhl Goldinger. Survivors include his wife, Kim McConnell Goldinger; children, Shelley Fackler (Dave), Bainbridge, PA; Sheila Pizur (Ron), Amsterdam, Netherlands; Phil Goldinger (Dana), New Cumberland, PA; Sean McConnell (Christine) Valparaiso, IN; Byron McConnell (Melissa), Bremerton, WA; grandchildren, Sarah Medlin (Travis), Adam Fackler, Emily Fackler-Reese (Josh), Sean Goldinger (Kate), Ian Goldinger, Becca Goldinger, Aiden, Finn, Kiera, Declan, Estelle, Eve and Tadhg McConnell and three great-grandchildren, Jack, Will and Penelope and brothers; Charlie, Butch, Dale and Les Goldinger.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Church at Stone River or Letort United Methodist Church.
