Mr. Warren Ledford Fitzgerald, age 76, of Decatur, died Thursday, January 10, 2019, at Huntsville Hospital. He was born March 7, 1942, in Newport News, VA. His family may schedule a memorial service at a later date.

Shelton Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Mr. Fitzgerald was a U. S. Army veteran who served in Vietnam, and worked as an engineer for NASA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Christine Fitzgerald.

He is survived by his wife, Karen Phipps Fitzgerald of Decatur; one son, Daniel I. Fitzgerald of Trinity; three daughters, Christine F. Luter (Jordan) of Sun Valley, CA, Jamie Fitzgerald of Garner, NC, and Eileen Fitzgerald of Garner, NC; one stepson, Jeffrey Hill (Callie) of Trinity; one grandchild, Redford Luter of Sun Valley, CA; and three step-grandchildren, Sarah Hill, Emily Hill, and Riley Morris.
