Funeral service for Mary Margaret McDearmon Cantrell, age 78, of Decatur, will be Sunday, January 13, 2019, 2:00 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Alan Queen officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to service.

Interment will be in Burningtree Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Cantrell, who died Thursday, January 10, 2019, at Huntsville Hospital, was born May 31, 1940, in Dyersburg, TN, to Ralph McDearmon and Gladys Newbill McDearmon. She was retired from Priceville High School, where she worked in food service.

She is survived by her loving husband, Harvey Cantrell of Decatur; two daughters, Donna Maples (David) of Decatur, and Debbie Cantrell of Priceville; two brothers, William Royce McDearmon and Arthur McDearmon, both of Dyersburg, TN; one sister, Sophia Ann Bingham of Newbern, TN; four grandchildren, David Copeland Russell, Michael Gene Russell, Christopher Cody Brown, and William Chad Brown; and four great-grandchildren, Rylan Michael Russell, Lexie Marie Russell, Loren MacKenzi Russell, and Jackson Cody Brown. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
