Funeral service for Judy Dianne Atkinson, age 72, of Decatur, will be Friday, January 11, 2019, 1:00 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Justin McAlpin officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to service.

Entombment will be in Roselawn Mausoleum. Mrs. Atkinson, who died Tuesday, January 8, 2019, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born October 12, 1946, in Birmingham, to Clyde B. Lucas and Geraldine Lawley Lucas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Atkinson.

Judy was an avid Alabama fan. She is survived by her daughter, Jill Gonzalez of Decatur; two stepdaughters, Carol Key of Birmingham, and Tracy Edgar of Georgia; two brothers, David Lucas of Birmingham, and Tim Lucas of Somerville; one sister, Janice Tucker of Decatur; one grandson, Jackson Gonzalez; and five step-grandchildren, Chris Key, Riley Key, Mary Margaret Key, Alan Durham, and Andrew Durham. Pallbearers will be Brian Tucker, Jason Tucker, Riley Key, and Chris Key.
