John Clifford Berry, Jr., 82 of Champaign, IL, passed away at 7:09 PM, Sunday, May 19, 2019 at his residence. Graveside services at Mt. Hope Cemetery will be private.

Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd. , Urbana, IL is assisting the family with arrangements. John was born June 1, 1936 in Huntington Park, California, a son of John Clifford Sr. and Josefa (Haston) Berry.

He married Linda McNamar on May 17, 1989 in Fountain Valley, CA. She survives. Also surviving is a daughter, Caren Munson of Henderson, NV; two sons, John C.(Rhonda) Berry of Jacksonville, Fla.

And Jason R. Varvas of Champaign, IL; 5 grandchildren, Lindsay, Greg, Ashley, Erika and Stephanie and three great grandchildren, Dominic, Aria, and Zoe. John graduated from UCLA with a BS in Engineering and worked as an electrical engineer for Boeing for over 44 years. He was a member of All Souls Presbyterian Church in Champaign, Zeta Psi fraternity and he was founding president of the Sante Fe Railway Historical & Modeling Society.
