Obituary for John Curtis John W. Curtis age 75 passed away June 18, 2018. He was born to Nebraska and Magnolia (Ingram) Curtis on November 13, 1942. Mr. Curtis was a member of Christ Baptist Church, he was proud graduate of Gary Roosevelt High School class of 1962 and he attended Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Missouri.

He was a member of the VFW POST #2151, and a retired Gary Police Officer. Some of his occupations included being a baliff in the Hammond Lake County Court System, being security with U.S Steel and Edison Middle School. John was a devoted member of The Helping Hands Association.

He is preceded in death by both his parents and one son Martin Luther Curtis. He leaves to cherish his legacy of memories to his beloved wife of 53 years Dorothy M. Curtis, one son; John Wesley Curtis, four sisters; Alva M. Comer, Dora (Joe) White, Gwendolyn (Curtis) Williams and Rose Bush, one brother Jimmy (Daisy) Curtis, two grandchildren; Mya E.
