Obituary for John E. “Jay” McConnaughey John E. “Jay” McConnaughey, 56, of Cheyenne passed away July 23, 2018 in Cheyenne. He was born May 2, 1962 in Nashville, Tennessee. Jay graduated from Central High School in 1980 and joined the Army, from which he was later medically discharged.

He enjoyed making and collecting model cars. Jay worked as a delivery driver for Sidels Auto Parts and a pizza restaurant. He is survived by his mother, Joann McConnaughey and sister, Janet McConnaughey.

Jay was preceded in death by his father, John L. McConnaughey and grandparents, Edward F. and Helen M. Small and George and Phyllis McConnaughey. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church. Interment will be at 1:30 p.m., Friday at Greenhill Cemetery in Laramie.
